چکیده
This study investigates the sustainable production of Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) mushroom using agro-industrial wastes. The substrate (80% rice straw + 20% sugar cane bagasse) was moistened with 0 (freshwater as control), 50, and 100% concentrations secondarily treated dairy plant mill wastewaters (DPW SMW). After proper sterilization, cultivation carried out under controlled environmental conditions bag log method for 100 days. results revealed that DPW SMW moistening significantly (p < 0.05) increased nutrient levels formulated which later gave better yield. highest mycelial coverage (90.70 ± 1.47 88.65 1.82%), yield (186.00 3.10 176.09 4.12 g/kg fresh substrate), biological efficiency (80.00 0.58 75.73 0.93%), total phenol (2.84 0.03 2.69 mg/g), ascorbic acid (0.34 0.32 0.02 ?-carotene (2.48 0.06 2.29 ?g/g) contents minimum time taken spawn running (60 1 days) observed a 50% concentration treatment both SMW, respectively. Besides this, kinetic studies first-order-based model showed acceptable accuracy in predicting rate constant delignification heavy metal uptake by mushroom. These findings suggest novel approach concept can be used high-quality mushrooms edible medicinal purposes while contributing toward United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 12) on responsible consumption superfoods.

Genome Sequence of the Edible Cultivated Mushroom Lentinula edodes (Shiitake) Reveals Insights into Lignocellulose Degradation
Lentinula edodes, one of the most popular, edible mushroom species with a high content of proteins and polysaccharides as well as unique aroma, is widely cultivated in many Asian countries, especially in China, Japan and Korea. As a white rot fungus with lignocellulose degradation ability, L. edodes has the potential for application in the utilization of agriculture straw resources. Here, we re...

This study was undertaken to understand how Lentinula edodes modulates in vivo mutagenesis induced by alkylating agents in bone marrow and peripheral blood as described in our previous article. Male Swiss mice were pretreated for 15 consecutive days with aqueous extracts prepared from L. edodes, after which, the number of circulating blood cells, normal erythroid bone marrow cell cycling, and p...

The shiitake mushroom (Lentinulaedodes) is one of the most popular edible mushrooms in the world and has attracted attention for its value in medicinal and pharmacological uses. With recent advanced research and techniques, the agricultural cultivation of the shiitake mushroom has been greatly increased, especially in East Asia. Additionally, demand for the development of new cultivars with goo...
متن کاملConstruction of a genetic linkage map of shiitake mushroom Lentinula edodes strain L-54.
From fruiting bodies of L. edodes strain L-54, single-spore isolates (SSIs) were collected. Two parental types of L-54 were regenerated via monokaryotization. By means of random-amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD), DNA samples from L-54, its two parental types, and 32 SSIs were amplified with arbitrary primers. Dedikaryotization was demonstrated, and 91 RAPD-based molecular markers were generated....
متن کاملAssociation Mapping Reveals Genetic Loci Associated with Important Agronomic Traits in Lentinula edodes, Shiitake Mushroom
Association mapping is a robust approach for the detection of quantitative trait loci (QTLs). Here, by genotyping 297 genome-wide molecular markers of 89 Lentinula edodes cultivars in China, the genetic diversity, population structure and genetic loci associated with 11 agronomic traits were examined. A total of 873 alleles were detected in the tested strains with a mean of 2.939 alleles per lo...
